Meet Matisse

As a seasoned professional and a Durham College’s public relations program professor, Matisse brings a unique blend of academic insight and practical expertise. Her dedication extends beyond the classroom as she actively volunteers with organizations like the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and hosts her insightful podcast and blog, PR & Lattes.

Her commitment to digital accessibility marks Matisse’s public relations and communications journey. Her transformative experience at the CNIB Foundation, where she started as a corporate communications specialist, sparked a deep interest in ensuring inclusive and equitable PR campaigns. She’s expanded her knowledge through programs in Accessible Media Production at Mohawk College and Diversity and Inclusion at Cornell University.

Later, working with AbleDocs, a leader in digital accessibility, she honed her strategic and internal communications skills. Recognized for her expertise, particularly in accessible communications, Matisse has a knack for crafting narratives that resonate across diverse audiences. Her approach combines a sharp understanding of digital PR, social media savvy, and a keen eye for emerging trends, making her a go-to expert for innovative, ethical, and results-driven PR strategies.
